Obituary

William "Billy" Alden Souther (Bubba, Papa), 72, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of May 2nd, 2025. Billy was born August 4th, 1952, in Newburyport, MA to William Souther Sr and Rose Clough.

Having 11 siblings, Billy often acted more as a father than a brother. Many stories of his adventures growing up in the North Shore of Massachusetts are still shared throughout the family today. Billy always had a love for cars and later became known as "Mr. Bill" from Mr. Bill's Automotive Repair. He owned many classic muscle cars from Novas, El Caminos, and his beloved 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS.

Billy had three sons with Mary Elizabeth D'Eri: Andrew, Jeremy, and Nathan. Together, they moved to Nashua, NH where Billy was a member of the youth soccer programs for his boys which included acquiring equipment, coaching teams, and always cheering the loudest from the sidelines.

Over the years, Billy worked several jobs in auto mechanics and owned his own trucking company; Souther Boys Trucking. He always continued his lifelong passion for motors, sticking mostly to American Muscle cars and even acquiring a Jesse James custom Motorcycle!

Even through difficult times, Billy was devoted to his family. It was common for his siblings, nieces and nephews to live with him when they needed a place to get back on their feet. Billy was a very supportive father, brother, and uncle. He always wanted the best for his family, and radiated positivity and betterment for everyone around him. For this he attracted many and bettered most.

William is survived by his son; Andrew and wife Haley Souther, his son; Jeremy and wife Hayley Souther, and his son Nathan Souther, along with three grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. He is predeceased by both parents and several siblings. We all know that he is now back together with his brother Chuckie, his Rottweiler Sarge, and his 1969 Chevelle with some Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix playing!

A celebration of William's life will be held on Saturday, May 17th from 2pm to 4pm at 2079 Wakefield Road Sanbornville, New Hampshire at Peaslee Funeral Home. All family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
