BERWICK, Maine — William E. Littlefield, 57, of Berwick, Maine, died March 8, 2010, at home.
Born Sept. 14, 1952, in Rochester, N.H., the son of Eugene F. and Louise M. (Fifield) Littlefield, he resided in Berwick, Maine the past 10 years, having previously resided in Rochester, and having grown up in Union, N.H.
He was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Pike Industries, Inc.
Bill was known for his quick wit and being a good storyteller. "I'm not trying to be wise but ..."
A member of the Milton Moose Lodge and V.F.W. Post 4485 of Somersworth, he was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his fiancee, Taryn Eldredge; a son, William C. Littlefield and three daughters, Maegan Littlefield, Jessica Littlefield and Kayla Grenier; his mother, Louise Littlefield; a sister, Gerri Blumenfeld; two brothers, James E. Littlefield and Maynard Littlefield; a grandson, William D. Littlefield, also cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Peaslee Funeral Home, 2079 Wakefield Road in Sanbornville, N.H. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 11, at 11 a.m. at the Union Congregational Church on Main Street in Union, N.H., with the Rev. John Babson, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington.
