William H. Hynes, age 82, formerly of Alton Bay, died February 19, 2012 at Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood.

Born June 28, 1929 in Boston, MA, the son of Henry and Eleanor (Beard) Hynes, he previously resided in Nashua, Northwood and Alton Bay, NH.

Prior to retirement, he was self employed in the construction industry.

He was a member of the N.R.A., a member and former officer of the Nashua Fish and Game Club, a former volunteer fireman while in Northwood and member of the Northwood Freewill Baptist Church.

Widower of the late Alice (Quitt) Hynes, he is survived by their 3 children: Cynthia L. Bowdoin of West Palm Beach, FL, Stephen D. Hynes and wife Suzan of Shermansdale, PA and Judith A. Hynes and partner Jodi Sturgeon of Huntington, NY, 6 grandchildren: Joshua P. Hynes, Kristina M. Hynes, William J. Hynes, Gregory M., Stephen W. and Jeffrey A. Bowdoin and several great grandchildren, a brother Hugh H. Hynes "Sonny" of Brentwood, NH, also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Robert H. Hynes and a sister Anne.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday February 22, 2012 at 11:30am
at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School Street, Alton, NH, with the calling hour prior to the service from 10-11:30 am. Interment will be in the spring at New Riverside Cemetery in Alton.
