William W. Hughes, age 74, of Rochester, NH, passed away, peacefully at home, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 11, 1949, son of Robert F. Hughes & Dorothy E. (Kelley) Hughes.

Bill joined the United States Navy and proudly served during the Vietnam War.

Upon his Honorable Discharge from the USNavy, he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Bryant College.

He worked for several financial institutions during his career and served his community as a Jaycee and member of the Kiwanis Club.

Bill loved traveling, cruising, watching sports and spending time with his beloved family.

Survived by his wife of 55 years:  Judith A. (Carlson) Hughes and  4 children: Corey Hughes & partner Lori Raymond of Loudon, NH, Laurel Slater & fiancé Peter Brochu of Rochester, NH, Jason & Jennifer Hughes of Rochester, NH, Michael & Judi Hughes of Bedford, NH, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 11am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH with a calling hour prior from 10-11am.  Urn interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington, NH.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his memory to Wentworth Hospice.  To express condolences, please visit: www.peasleefuneralhome.com
