"Bill" Taylor
May 16, 1943 – July 5, 2023
William A. "Bill" Taylor, age 80, of Farmington, NH, passed away July 5, 2023, at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH after a period of failing health.
Born on May 16, 1943, in Huntington, New York, he was the son of Norris E. & Charlotte B. (Wagner) Taylor, and resided there until moving to Farmington, NH in 1967.
Bill served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of a Purple Heart as well as several other Medals of Honor.
William retired from a career at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and went on to be the most well-loved school bus driver for Somersworth Schools for over 21 years. As a business entrepreneur, he had owned and operated Adley Limousine Service for years additionally.
Bill was a member of the Elm Street Church in Farmington, NH, a Mason and Past Master of Humane Lodge #21 in Rochester, NH, as well as a member of the DAV, American Legion, and Vietnam Veterans of America.
He enjoyed hunting, driving motorcycles, spending time with his family, usually entertaining at his home, grabbing drinks with his friends at the Hawg's Pen Cafe, and traveling with his wife, Bea, one of their most memorable trips being spent in Hawaii.
Bill was known for his quick wit, his amazing sense of humor, and his willingness to help others. Whether you were his friend, his neighbor, or one of the kids on his bus route, he was always there to lend a hand. He was a loyal friend, a great father, and an amazing grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is predeceased by his parents; Norris and Charlotte Taylor, and his wife and best friend, Beatrice M. (LePage) Taylor.
William is survived by his son: Robert W. & wife Susan Faulkner, his sister Noreen Somma, his grandchildren: William, Ryan, Trina, Jill and Andrew, great grandchildren; Adley, William, Malia, Tristen, Layla, Alexis, Eva, Chloe, Andrew, Sonny, Griffin, and Zeke, his nieces Kim and Chrissy, several other nieces and nephews, and his dog and companion, Casper.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Peaslee Funeral home located at 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH from 10:00AM-11:00AM followed by a Funeral Service officiated by his amazing friend of over 25 years, Rev. Jonathan Sindorf. Interment with Military Honors will be the same day at 2:00PM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery located at 110 Daniel Webster Hwy, Boscawen NH.
William's family would like to thank Jonathan and Kathy for all the love and support for Bill over the years.
