William P. Beeder, age 79, of Brackett Road, on Lovell Lake in Sanbornville, died February 2, 2014, at Sanctuary Care in Rye.

Born January 20, 1935 in Portsmouth, the son of William H. and Mazie (Page) Beeder, he was a graduate of Portsmouth High School, Class of 1953. He also resided for years in Kittery, Maine and lived in Sanbornville, NH, the past 44 years.

Retired United States Navy, he served for 28 years. He was also retired from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, where he was employed for 34 years, a machinist. More recently, he was well known in the area as Bill Beeder Finish Carpenter.

Bill was a member of the American Legion, Enlisted Retired Assn. and the Naval Lodge in Kittery. He was an avid reader, enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing, snowmobiling, boating and traveling.

Survived by his wife of 58 years: Lucinda M. "Cindy" Beeder, a grandson: Christopher L. Ayotte, a brother: Wayne A. Beeder, a sister and brother in law: Beverly and Lowell LaMora, also many nieces, nephews and a dear friend: Darlene Jubert. He was predeceased by his daughter: Cathleen M. Ayotte in 2013.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony's Church on Meadow Street in Sanbornville, NH with Fr. Edmund A. Babicz, pastor, as celebrant, family and friends are welcome. Urn interment will be in the spring at Lovell Lake Cemetery, with military honors.
