Wilfred B. "Willy" Morrison, Jr., age 72, of Chestnut Hill Road in Farmington, died quietly at home, early Friday morning, May 13, 2016.
Born March 31, 1944 in South Portland, Maine, son of Wilfred B. Morrison, Sr. and Phyllis (Hiller) Morrison. Raised in Rye, NH, he was a graduate of Portsmouth High School. He resided for many years in North Hampton and Portsmouth and lived in Farmington since 1982.
A Veteran of the United States Navy, he served our country for over 26 years, also with the Merchant Marine and the Coast Guard Reserve.
Willy enjoyed playing the guitar, Irish music, traveling around the world, cooking, woodworking, he made wooden scale model ships and also commercial wooden lobster traps.
Survived by his wife of 47 years Norma (Hantid) Morrison, 2 sons: John Henry Morrison and wife Mika of Jacksonville, FL, Scott Morrison and wife Jean of Creighton, Nebraska, 1 daughter: Kim Lee Hackett and husband Tom of Dover, NH, grandchildren: Phoenix Hackett, Kyle Morrison, Ryu Morrison and Timothy Morrison, Julianna, Mathew and Jennifer and 1 great grandchild Abby.
Interment will be Friday June 10, 2016 at 1:30 pm at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
