Warren E. Merrill, age 66, of Bay Road in Farmington, passed away on Sunday May 4, 2014 at Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover.
Born June 26, 1947 in Rochester, son of Edward S. and Alice (Amazeen) Merrill, he was raised and resided in Milton for many years and has lived in Farmington since 1976.
Prior to retirement, he was self employed, as machine and tool designer, at Merrill CADD Services. He had also been a school teacher at Spaulding Vocational School for 3 years, with the draftsman program.
Warren loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and photography. He was a member of the Farmington Fish and Game Club, a Trustee of the Nute Library , and had participated in the Big Buddy Program in Rochester.
Survived by his wife of 47 years: Gail E. (Brown) Merrill, his mother: Alice Merrill, his daughter Heidi Garcia, granddaughter Emily Hutto, "like a son" Brian Holdsworth, and 11 siblings: Lois Drew, Wayne and wife Linda Merrill, Beth Merrill, Glenn and wife Kathie Merrill, David and wife Pam Merrill, Tim and wife Diane Merrill, Gayle and husband Don Joy, Jean and husband Jim Brown, Richard and wife Tamara Merrill, Steven and wife Diane Merrill, Nancy Lepene, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Thursday evening from 6-8 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday May 9, 2014 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, corner of Grove and Church Streets in Farmington with Rev. Glenn Merrill, his brother, officiating.
