Wallace F. Hill, age 94, of Sanbornville, died January 1, 2019, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born July 4, 1924 in Union, a son of Waldo and Vila (Kimball) Hill, he resided in Sanbornville for 70+years.
He was a self employed logger, owner of Wallace Hill Logging, selective cutting.
Widower of the late Pauline (Dodier) Hill, to whom he was married for 66 years, Wallace loved his family, family first, he also loved his work, logging, which he did until age 80. He loved hunting, fishing and all of his beagle's, especially 'Winnie". He enjoyed his lake house on Great East Lake, the hunting camp in Errol, and his home where many family and friends gathered .
Wallace was an honest man, humble, he loved people unconditionally, and donated quietly to those in need.
Survived by his 4 children: Patricia and husband Tom Mix, Wayne and wife Anna Hill, Penny and husband Stil Manzueta, Pam and husband Jeff Dugas, 5 grandchildren: Deborah James, Julie Ross, Diana Spaulding, Cheryl Bowden and Oftin Manzueta, 5 great grandchildren: Taylor and Tucker James, Wayne and Marie Spaulding and Marissa Ross, also many nieces, nephews and a half sister Joanne Piper. Predeceased by his grandson Steven Kincel and siblings: Martha Brooks, Sylvia Kimball and Lloyd "Jigger" Tanner.
Calling hours are Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 12Noon-2pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 2079 Wakefield Road in Sanbornville, NH with a service at 2pm. Interment will be in the spring at Lovell Lake Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: Wakefield Food Pantry, Wakefield Parks and Recreation or Lakes Region Humane Society.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 2pm at Lovell Lake Cemetery in Sanbornville, NH. Family and friends are welcome.
