IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Virginia
Sheehan
December 3, 1944 – March 31, 2023
Milton, NH
Virginia Sheehan, 78 years old, was known to all as Ginger and her presence was as fiery as her name.
Ginger passed away on Friday March 31 st at her son and daughter-in-law's home in Milton surrounded by her family.
Born December 3, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY to Royal and Antionette (DeLucca) DeGroff, Ginger was one of eight children. At a young age, she would help her mother care for the family – this is where she developed her love for cooking and her strong family values.
Ginger lived for her family, having seven children herself with the love of her life Matthew "Skippy" Sheehan; she worked hard to provide for her children and instill those same family values. Even in the toughest of times, there was always something amazing simmering on the stove and Christmas' were magical for the children. She was a devoted and loyal sister and friend, the one you could go to when you had a problem – she would listen without judgement, and boy could she keep a secret! Ginger was someone you could count on to be there.
Everything she did was done with love for those around her - from Sunday suppers and her famous lasagna at Christmas, to having coffee, or cocktails while playing cards, she enjoyed most of all being with her family and treasured moments with her husband, Skippy in Keansburg, NJ at the boardwalk.
Ginger is survived by her son Timothy Sheehan of Milton, NH; her daughter Denise Sheehan of Brooklyn, NY; her daughter Robin Sheehan of Brooklyn, NY; Her son Michael Sheehan and his wife Melissa of Milton, NH; Her daughter Jaclyn Vazquez of Brooklyn, NY; Her daughter Michelle Legault and her partner Joey of Rochester, NH; her step-daughter Debbie Sheehan of Brooklyn, NY; Twenty-five grandchildren: Timmy, Molly, Jo-Jo, Alyssa, Kelsi, German, Rosa, Michael, Ashley, Steven, Destiny, Sal, Chris, Kayla, Michael Jr., Anthony, Ray-Ray, Matthew, Xavier, Nickolas, Tiffany, Logan, Joseph, Mikey, and Nicole; several great-grandchildren; two sisters: Dorothy Vera of Puerto Rico, and Judy DeGroff Florida; two brothers: Kenny DeGroff of Pennsylvania and Ronnie DeGroff of Tennessee: She had many nieces and nephews
