Virginia "Ginger" Roberts, age 88, of New Durham, NH passed away peacefully at her brother and sister in law's home in Hopkinton, NH, on Friday, May 23, 2025, where she most recently resided.
Born on January 30, 1937 in Boston, MA, the daughter of William F. & Alice M. (Young) Sullivan, she resided in New Hampshire since 1977, also having wintered in Sebastian, Florida.
Virginia was a Nun, "Sister Rita Kathryn", a school teacher with the Sisters of St. Joseph Convent in Brighton, MA, for eighteen years.
Ginger was retired, having continued her work as a school teacher upon living in New Hampshire.
She was a parishioner of St. Katharine Drexel Church in Alton, NH.
Widow of the late Edmond A. "Ed" Roberts, who died in 2021, she is survived by their son Jeffrey Scott Roberts & wife Lisa, grandson Tyler J. Roberts, brother Edward Sullivan & wife Deborah Farley, also many Nieces and Nephews. Predeceased by 2 brothers: William F. Sullivan, Jr. and Andrew J. Sullivan, 7 sisters: Mary Alice Walsh, Grace Travers Dorcette, Kathryn Fennell, Dorothy Cornelissen, Anne Weaver, Mildred Wheeler and Rita Sullivan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday June 6, 2025 at 11am at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 40 Hidden Spring Road (Route 28N) Alton, NH with Fr. Robert F. Cole, pastor, as celebrant, family and friends are welcome, followed by a reception in the church hall. Urn interment will be at 2pm at John C. Shirley Cemetery in New Durham, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to: St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Alton, NH or EWTN. The mass will be live streamed at: stkdrexel.org
