Obituary

FARMINGTON, New Hampshire – Timothy Paul Duval, loving husband, father, and friend joined his brother, and parents in heaven on August 13, 2017. We all lost the most generous, caring, loyal, funny, and thoughtful person that any of us will ever know. Tim was a very genuine person who would go out of his way to help anybody out, whether he knew them well or not. He was a very hard worker and put everything he had into both his home and work life.

Tim was born on October 25, 1960, the son of James A. and Rae (Miller) Duval. Tim graduated from Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, the first on his side of the family to graduate high school, which both of his parents were very proud of.

He would go on to work a multitude of different jobs, one of which was his own custom cabinet company. He loved woodworking and would put an incredible amount of time and effort into every project he put his hands on. Tim also obtained his CDL and drove a tractor-trailer before going to his most recent job at Westinghouse Electric in Newington, where he filled many positions over the 15 years that he was there. All of his friends from work know him for his outstanding work ethic as well as his sense of humor and overall thoughtfulness.

Tim cherished his time with family and loved being a father. He enjoyed going hunting with his father-in-law, son, daughter and her fiancé. Tim was incredibly proud of both of his kids and cheered them on throughout every sport they played. He would talk for hours about how proud he was of both of his children, and was a father that truly wanted his kids to excel in life and helped in any way he possibly could.

Tim loved the family trips to Disney and would count down the days until the vacation began, and make sure to remind the family as to how many days were left. He also took great pleasure in getting up early and taking the family out to breakfast. He spent a lot of time at work, so he typically only saw his family at night, so he truly cherished his mornings with them. He also loved coffee so breakfast was a perfect venue for him.

He was a master at finding silver linings in everything, and had an amazing sense of humor. He would put his family and friends above anything else, and was just an all around good person. He brought happiness to everyone around him and will be missed by all that loved him.

Tim is survived by his wife, Tammy J. (MacDormand) Duval and their children, son Cody Duval, daughter Courtney Duval, and her fiancé Tyler Tuttle, who he became best buddies with. He is also survived by his brother David Duval, sister Betty Mulligan, as well as an abundance of friends and family who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Russell Lover.

SERVICES: There will be a private burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Eliot, Maine. Family and friends are welcome to attend his memorial service Friday, August 18, from 6-8pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH.
