IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Thomas J.
Decowski, Sr.
April 18, 1961 – March 25, 2026
Thomas J. Decowski Sr, 64, of Alton, N.H. passed away on March 25, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born on April 18, 1961, he was the son of the late Raymond J. and Marion T. (McLaughlin) Decowski.
Tom was known as a true jack of all trades and someone who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Tom could often be found at Reuben’s – Alton Home and Lumber - or at Alton Village Store getting his coffee and paper in the mornings. He had a big heart, a strong work ethic, and a deep love for his family. He was the best dad and grandfather anyone could ask for, always ready to drop everything to be there for the people he loved, especially his family.
He is survived by his significant other of 36 years, Karen Welsh of Alton N.H. His children Jessica Griffin and her husband Cody of Alton, N.H.; Thomas Decowski Jr and his fiancé Brittany of Laconia, N.H.; Raymond Decowski of Alton, N.H.; Stevie Tripp of Alton, N.H.; Samantha Wright and her husband Jon of Sanbornton, N.H.; Nicole Tusi of Alton, N.H.; Noelle Macdonald and her significant other Wayne of Alton, N.H.. His brother Jack Decowski and his wife Patty of Rochester, N.H.. His sisters Patti Hughes and her husband Robert of Winterhaven, F.L.; and Eileen Viens and her husband Daniel of Derry, N.H..
He was the proud grandfather of 14 amazing grandchildren; Abigaile, Mason, Ricky, Jayden, Addilyn, Jonathan, Micheal, Alexander, Ronin, Rhett, Rayden, Caiden, Colton and Carson. All of whom he loved deeply and was incredibly proud of.
In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by his mother-in-law, Mildred Welsh, and father-in-law, Willard Welsh.
Tom will be remembered for his kindness, his rough sense of humor, strength, and his unwavering dedication to those closest to him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
There will be no formal services at this time, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
