Terry A. Martell, age 71, of Brackett Road in Sanbornville, NH, died December 18, 2017.

Born January 22, 1946 in Saco, Maine, son of Henry and Christine (Hasty) Martell, he grew up in Limerick, Maine. Terry proudly served in the U. S. Navy, aboard the U.S.S. Constellation CVA-64, as a Boiler Repair Foreman.

Terry met his future wife Irene Morin while on leave in 1965, Labor Day Weekend at Old Orchard Beach, Maine, they were married on October 28, 1967. They just celebrated 50 years of marriage.

In 1972, he started Marjen Construction, a true entrepreneur, he began Main Street Sales, Sunshine Acres Campground, and M&M Boat Storage. Terry was a generous man who gave of himself to his family, community, and friends.

Survived by his beloved wife of 50 years: Irene T. Martell of Sanbornville, NH and their 2 daughters: Tammy Martell-Welsh and her husband, Douglas Welsh, of Portland, Maine, and his grandchildren: Robert and Caris Welsh. Predeceased by his eldest grandson Ian Welsh.
Bonnie (Martell) Cyr and her husband, Jonathan Cyr, of Sanbornville, NH, and his grandchildren: Olivia Ricard, Hayden & Clayton Cyr along with great grandson, Odin Ricard.
Three siblings: Charles Martell, Sharon Reed, Cindy Wetherell, many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 11am at St. Anthony's Church, 239 Meadow Street, Sanbornville, NH with Fr. Patrick Gilbert, pastor, as celebrant. Urn interment will be in the spring at Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Springvale, Maine.
