IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Stephen Andrew
Mccabe
March 3, 1961 – April 7, 2022
Stephen Andrew McCabe, Jr, age 61, died peacefully on April 7, 2022 with his family by his side after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma brain cancer. He was born in Boston, MA, grew up in Concord, NH, raised his family in Watertown, CT, and settled in Sanbornville and Wolfeboro, NH.
Steve is survived by his sons Stephen McCabe III (fiancé Molly), and Benjamin McCabe, his mother Beverly Burke Siemon, father Stephen McCabe Sr (Margery), sisters Erin McCabe (Michael), Lauren McCabe, brothers Michael and Danny McCabe, nieces and nephews Ryan and Lindsey Lieberman and Carolyn and Thomas Gardocki, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous loving friends. He was predeceased by his step father Carl Siemon, the mother of his children Michelle McCabe and his brother-in-law Rich Lieberman.
Steve graduated from Concord High School in 1979, had a long successful career at The Siemon Company in Watertown, CT. as a tool and dye maker, and had a passion for carpentry and finish furniture making. He had imaginative and inventive ways to repair just about anything, so much that he was lovingly nicknamed MacGyver. Steve loved all types of music, he was a self-taught guitarist, played the harmonica and loved to dance.
He was a collector of many things; musical instruments, record albums, tools, and antiques.
Steve loved his Irish heritage, his big Irish family and his extended Siemon family. But he was most proud of his sons and their close relationship. Steve's kind heart, generous spirit, and his wonderful sense of humor will be missed deeply by his family and his many many friends.
