Ruth Ellen Miles, age 99, died May 27, 2014 at Genesis Wolfeboro Bay.
Born September 9, 1914 in Nova Scotia, the daughter of Alexander and Violetta (Hutchinson) Miles, she resided in Wolfeboro most recently, having previously resided in Alton for years, also residing in New Durham, Farmington and Milton.
In earlier years, she served as a Nanny for Barbara Walters, she worked as a fancy stitcher at local shoe factories and also did stitching for Mr. Freese in Alton.
She enjoyed sewing and reading.
Predeceased by a sister Alice Abbott and 3 half brothers: James King, Guerdon King and Frank King, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday June 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Milton Mills Cemetery. Arrangements by Peaslee Funeral Home.
