Ruth L. Kingsbury, age 83, of Ten Rod Road in Farmington, went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2014, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born August 28, 1930 in New Durham, the daughter of Walter and Viola (Eaton) Thurston, she resided there and in Wolfeboro for years and lived in Farmington since 1967.
Prior to retirement in 1992, she was employed at the former Textron in Farmington.
Ruth was a member of the First Baptist Church in Farmington. An avid Red Sox fan, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and most especially loved her family.
Widow of the late Ralph Kingsbury, she is survived by her six children: Sheila and husband John Cardinal of Farmington, Patricia and husband Ernest Dexter of Middleton, Stanley Taylor, III and wife Lynne of Rochester, Diane Mitchell of Farmington, Deborah Taylor and companion Richard Walsh of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Brenda and husband Calvin Dexter of Middleton, 16 Grandchildren, 36 Great Grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, many step grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, 2 cousins and 2 sister in laws. She was predeceased by her brothers: Albert Thurston, Walter Thurston, Jr. and Calvin Thurston.
Calling hours are Thursday from 6-8 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday May 16, 2014 at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church, corner of Grove and Church Street in Farmington with Rev. Richard Rizzi, pastor, officiating.
