Ruth Blanche Grundner, 79, of Farmington, NH, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23rd, 2024.

Ruth was born on August 20th, 1945 to William T. Magill and Blanche O. Magill in Jamestown, RI where she lived most of her life. She spent time living with her sons Erich and Mike and enjoyed the travels this brought her and she fondly shared memories of her adventures, most especially to Alaska. She moved to New Hampshire and spent many years there with her daughter, Mary, and her family and enjoyed their many trips to Maine and spent a girl's week with her daughter, Mary and her granddaughter visiting the lighthouses of Nova Scotia. Ruth worked for the National Visa and Passport Center in Portsmouth, NH from 1999-2012. She was a cat-lover with several cats she had cherished time with and she doted lovingly on her family's cats over the years as well making sure all cats in her life were well fed. Family holiday meals were never complete without "Nana" and her casserole dish of well buttered potatoes.

Ruth is survived by her sons Michael of Cassatt, SC and Erich of Longview, WA as well as 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Mary and her son, James.

A graveside service will be held this spring at Cedar Cemetery in her beloved Jamestown, RI where she will be laid to rest with her family at the Magill Family Plot. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
