Ronald J. Stapleton, Sr., age 89, of Brice Drive in Brookfield, died January 3, 2012 at Epsom Healthcare Center.
Born October 17, 1922 in Cambridge, MA, the son of Ronald James and Grace Marie (Sanborn) Stapleton, he resided in Brookfield, NH since 1992, having previously resided in Wilton, NH.
A Veteran of the United States Navy, he served during World War II and the Korean War.
Prior to retirement, he was employed as a Designer of Missile Systems with Raytheon.
Ron was a member of the V.F.W. and the D.A.V.
Widower of the late Dorothy C. (Kennedy) Stapleton, who died in 2009, he is survived by their 5 children: Ronald J. and wife Susanne Stapleton, Jr., John M. Stapleton, Mark R. Stapleton, Robert A. and wife Jill Stapleton and Lori A. Hamilton, 14 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren, also several Nieces and Nephews.
There are no calling hours, family and friends are welcome to a Graveside Service on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Route 3 in Boscawen, NH, with Chaplain Gary Rolph officiating and military honors by the United States Navy.
