Roland R. Eldridge, Sr. age 93, of Rochester NH, died November 2, 2020.

He was born October 6, 1927 in West Lebanon, Maine, the son of Melvin and Delia (Custeau) Eldridge.

Roland was married to Marion (Carpenter) Eldridge who passed away in 2007.

He worked at Spaulding Fibre Company for 35 years and then went to work for the NHDOT road crew of Center Strafford, NH for a number of years, before retiring.

Survived by his son Roland R. Eldridge, Jr. and wife Rae Eldridge, three grandchildren, Kimberly Lefebvre of Berwick ME, Ross Eldridge and wife Kellie of Redmond OR, Brandi Gaulin and husband Todd of Coventry CT and 6 great grandchildren, also his sister Frances Gray of Rochester NH and brother Raymond Eldridge of Exeter NH.

Roland lived his life to the fullest, always putting others first.  His greatest joy came from visiting his friends and family and he was quick to put himself to work helping out wherever he could, never asking anything in return.  Getting Roland to slow down was nearly impossible.  He was always on the go, not one to be idle. He loved driving miles on back roads, hiking daily in woods all across the state, and spending time with loved ones.  A caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend; stories about Roland could fill volumes and will bring comfort during this difficult time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 10am at St. Peter's Church, 90 Central Street, Farmington, NH. Urn interment will be at Chickville Cemetery in Ossipee, NH.  To express condolences, please visit: www.peasleefuneralhome.com
