Robert Perry Walker, age 79, a longtime resident of Farmington, died December 16, 2017, after a long battle with dementia.
Born August 19, 1938 in Claremont, NH, a son of Charles and Irene (Perry) Walker, he was a Manchester, NH graduate, Class of 1956.
He moved to Farmington around 1960, where, the majority of his career he was employed by Davidson Rubber for 27 years.
Bob was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington and a volunteer at the Interfaith Food Pantry.
Widower of the late Gladys A. (Skidds) Walker, he is survived by their son David and wife Debra Walker, granddaughter Ashley Moffitt and husband Brian, great granddaughters: Cori and Cady, granddaughter Heather Skanse and husband Eric, great grandsons: Mark and August, also several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Charles R. Walker, Jr. and a sister Lucille Whitney.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 11am at First Baptist Church of Farmington, with Rev. Dr. Richard Rizzi, pastor, officiating, family and friends are welcome. Interment will be in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimers Association or to your favorite charity.
