IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Allen
Perkins
March 29, 1948 – August 3, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Allen Perkins of Center Barnstead, N.H., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who died on August 3, 2025, after a brief illness, surrounded by his family. Bob's life was one of adventure, service, and generosity.
Bob was born on March 29, 1948, in Norwood, Massachusetts, to Maynard and Dorothy (Bellville) Perkins. He enlisted in the United States Navy immediately upon graduating from Pittsfield High School, Class of 1967, at the age of 19 as many of his classmates did. He proudly served his country for 6 years including service aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt aircraft carrier.
After his honorable service, Bob pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Franklin Pierce College in 1979. While earning his degree, he began working for the City of Concord, N.H. Water Filtration Plant as a plant operator and lab director, a role in which he dedicated himself for many years. Bob left this position to take ownership of Perkins Taxidermy from his father, Maynard Perkins. Bob was the fourth generation to operate the family business.
Later in life, Bob dedicated much of his time to caring for the next generation. He worked at Gilmanton Elementary School, where he supported the children in that community. Bob and his wife Theresa also volunteered on Sundays with the Children's programs at CenterPoint Church. He later became an employee at CenterPoint Church, where he loved shopping to provide meals for local school kids on weekends.
Bob was passionate about sharing the crazy stories of his childhood with his children and grandchildren. He often talked about the many "adventures" he had hunting, growing up with his brother, David, and the close-knit group of friends from high school.
What truly set Bob apart was his generosity. If you needed something, Bob would give it to you, whether it was his to give or not. He loved giving gifts that he knew people would enjoy. Christmas was his favorite time of the year. He often could be found waiting outside his grandkids' house before the sun came up to be there when they awoke Christmas morning. He loved what his family loved and spent his best days fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, making maple syrup, boating, and caring for his flowers. Bob loved his life and in his own words it was "Good Enough!", "Perfect!", or "Supah!"
Above everything else, Bob was a man of faith who gave his life to Jesus and was later baptized. He enjoyed asking challenging questions and learning about the Bible. He knew without a doubt that one day he would see his Lord in heaven face to face.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Theresa; his son, Robert Perkins Jr. and his wife, Deeana; his son, Brian Perkins and his wife, Stacy; his grandchildren, Joshua and wife Jessica, Kelci, Cole and wife Jillian, Justin, Evan, and Logan; and his great-grandsons, Cam and Jackson; and many bonus children, Fran Green-Corson and her husband Bill, Arlene Green, Beulah Green along with many grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He is also survived by his brother and longest friend, David Perkins and his wife Flossie, as well as his sister, Wanda Fitzmorris and her husband Scott. He was predeceased by his son, Steven Perkins, and his parents, Maynard and Dorothy Perkins.
At Bob' s request, a quiet burial will take place with family at Perkins Cemetery and celebration of his life at a later date.
