Robert (Bob) John Moriarty 74 of Farmington, NH passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday July 4th, 2023. Born on February 26, 1949 in Springfield, MA. He was the son of John T. Moriarty and Aurore (Dumont) Moriarty of East Longmeadow, MA.
Bob attended and graduated from East Longmeadow high. He attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston, MA and worked as a pharmacist for Osgood's in Farmington, Care Pharmacy in Epsom and Rochester, then Frisbie Memorial Hospital until his retirement.
Bob met his loving wife of 52 years, Barbara (Bobby) while attending college in Boston. They eventually settled in Farmington, NH where they ran a dairy goat farm and raised their two children, Sarah and Ryan. He was an active member of his community in Farmington, NH. He held positions on the Jaycees, was a longtime leader of Boy Scouts, a member of the planning board, on the board of directors for the Cornerstone Visiting Nurse Association, an active member of St. Peter's Parish and the Knights of Columbus as well as a member of the Farmington Country Club. He enjoyed hiking with his family and accomplished all 48 four thousand foot peeks in NH. He loved cookouts with his family in the backyard, sitting under his favorite shade tree and driving through his acreage in his Kawasaki mule. Bob was outgoing and friendly to everyone he met.
Robert is predeceased by his parents, John and Aurore, and his sister Phyllis Hall
Robert was part of a loving family and is survived by wife, Barbara (Bobby) Moriarty, siblings Nancy (Jim, husband) Piscioneri and Jack Moriarty, daughter Sarah (Coby, husband) Simpson and son Ryan (Meagen, wife) Moriarty and grandchildren Dallan Simpson, Faith Simpson, Owen Moriarty, Erin Moriarty, Baylan Simpson, and Aslyn Moriarty.
A funeral will be held on Saturday July 15th, 2023 at 9:30 am at St. Martin's Church on 120 Maple Street in Somersworth NH. A reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to the Pope Memorial-Cocheco Valley Humane Society of Dover, NH.
