Robert Anthony Gibbons, Sr., "Bob", age 86, of Wolfeboro, NH, passed away May 17, 2024, peacefully at home, with his loving family.

Born February 11, 1938 in Medford, Massachusetts, a son of John V. Gibbons, Sr. & Grace E. (Reinhalter) Gibbons, he was a graduate of Melrose High School.  He had resided in Melrose, MA and Malden, MA for many years, having worked as a Meter Reader for Massachusetts Electric.  Bob resided in Wolfeboro, NH since 1989 and had worked at Strafford Developmental Services.

A devout Catholic, Bob was a member of the Knights of Columbus and had walked at the Rochester Christmas Parade each year.

He enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, trains, and driving the back roads.

Survived by his wife of 27 years Dottie Gibbons, his 6 children: Robert A. Gibbons, Jr., Scott & wife Tina Gibbons, Christina & husband Vincent Rhatigan, Daniel Gibbons, Freddie & wife Jessica Ouellette and Kelly Nyberg, 12 Grandchildren & 3 Great Grandchildren, his brother John V. Gibbons, Jr., also many Nieces & Nephews.  Predeceased by 2 sisters Claire Boyle, Mary T. Murphy & sister in law Margaret A. Gibbons.

Calling hours are Wednesday evening from 5-7pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday May 23, 2024 at 10am at St. Peter's Church in Farmington, NH with Fr. Thomas Duston, pastor, as celebrant.  Interment will follow at John C. Shirley Cemetery in New Durham, NH.
