Robert Gayton Eddy, age 90, of Davis Road, Alton Bay, NH, died February 17, 2012 at Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia, NH.
Born June 5, 1921 in Braintree, MA, the son of Gayton and Anna Levangie Eddy, he resided in Alton Bay, NH since 1988, having previously resided in Brewster and Hopedale, Massachusetts.
A Veteran of the United States Navy, he served during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W.
Robert was employed for 25 years with General Electric, a Mechanical Engineer. His passion was teaching, he was retired from Cape Cod Regional Technical High School, after 10 years, as a Drafting Instructor.
He loved figure skating, was a Past President of the Skating Club of Worcester, a Past President of the Yarmouth Ice Club and the Orleans Figure Skating Club and was a longtime member of the U.S. Figure Skating Association.
Survived by his wife Cecilia T. (Ferruccio) Eddy and 6 children: Mary Ann Callaghan, Sharon Polesky, Susan Montville, Raymond Parks, Theresa Ruiz and Allyson Dean, 13 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Pearl (Glennon) Eddy.
