Robert F. Chapman, age 62, of Willey Road in Sanbornville, died unexpectedly, August 11, 2017, of natural cause, at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro.

Born September 10, 1954 in Washington, DC, he resided in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and had resided in New Hampshire since 1984, Sanbornville since 1990.

A Veteran of the United States Coast Guard, he served on both Poles, at the Antarctica and at Point Barrow, Alaska. He crossed the International Dateline.

His passion in life was to see underprivileged children eat a nutritious meal every day. He was to have started his new job as Chef at the Boys and Girls Club of Laconia, today.

Buzz was passionate about animals, trains and planes.

Survived by his wife of 32 years Mary Kay Chapman and their daughter Heather Chapman, 2 sisters: Sabrina Vara Spires and Susan Vara-Cortez, his dogs Chance and Chaz and the Ryan Clan.

Family and friends are welcome to a funeral on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 10am at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at the chapel. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to your local chapter of a "Boys and Girls Club." Arrangements by Peaslee Funeral Home.
