Robert G. Byrne, Jr., age 80, of Stoneham Road in Brookfield, NH died March 28, 2013 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.
Born December 26, 1932 in Swampscott, MA, the son of Robert G. Byrne, Sr., and Valerie (Smiechowski) Byrne, he resided in Quincy, Massachusetts until moving to Brookfield, NH permanently upon his retirement.
A Veteran of the United States Army,he was a graduate of Norwich University, Class of 1956.
A a retired school teacher, he taught chemistry, having worked at Braintree High School and was retired from the Plymouth School System in Plymouth, MA.
A ham radio operator, he was an excellent photographer. He loved to travel, but especially loved making maple syrup, gardening and cutting firewood. He and his wife were involved with collecting and selling antiques.
Survived by his wife Sandra M. (Noonan) Byrne, a daughter Jennifer, a daughter Sarah and husband Derek Ciulla.
Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 2079 Wakefield Road in Sanbornville (Wakefield), NH. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013 at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA at 11:00 am.
