Robert Parker "Bob" Trafton age 81, of Lynnfield, MA, where he lived for the past 30+ years Died on November 6, 2025, at the Rochester Manor in Rochester, NH.
Born in Wolfeboro, NH on January 28, 1944. Son of N. Parker Trafton and Barbara B. (Hanson) Trafton of Sanbornville, NH.
Childhood-several cousins who he loved to be around. He held a strong belief for family. He loved music, plays, swimming at Lovel Lake, trains, Ice skating and skiing He enjoyed teaching others to ski especially Father Jim and the church students. He was very proud to see his son, Jimmy play hockey in the Junior Olympics in Switzerland during the late 70's.
Bob graduated from Spaulding High School Class of 62. He received his Degree in Radiology from Lawerence Memorial School of X-ray in 1967. He later furthered his education in Radiology/ English through Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
Married to Shelia E. Trafton for 57 years. 07/27/1968 in Massachusetts.
Worked at Mass Eye and Ear, Lawerence Memorial and Lahey Hospital
Grew up in Sanbornville, NH. In his adult years after meeting his wife in X-ray school, He stayed local to the Boston area and residing the majority of his life in Lynnfield, MA.
He enjoyed History, playing the organ. He loved football and the Patriots was his favorite team. He loved to Ski. Being at the lake was his favorite memory. In later life he enjoyed going to Falmouth, MA with his wife, mother, grandson, nieces and nephews.
Bob loved to be with family and friends and had a dry sense of humor and an infectious laugh.
He is survived by his wife Sheila E. Trafton of Durham, NH; Grandchild-Brandon (Sidney) Trafton of Saugus, Ma. His Nieces and Nephews, Stephanie and Marc Auclair of Rochester, Scott and his wife Shyanne Trafton of Rochester, Sarita and her husband Brian Sheltry of Portsmouth, NH and Stephen and his wife Vicki from Rochester in addition to other great and great/great nieces and nephews. He also is survived by his cousins on both the Hanson and Trafton side of the family.
Predeceased by both his father and mother, N. Parker Trafton (07/27/2001); Barbara B. Trafton (04/27/2015), Daughter- Barbara DeMarco (Trafton) (05/03/2003), James H. Trafton (11/24/2005), and Brother- R. Bradley Trafton (04/30/2021)
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Peaslee Funeral Home 2079 Wakefield Road in Sanbornville, NH.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, 10:30am at St. John's Episcopal Church- High Street, Sanbornville, with Priest: The Rev. Kit Wang. Pallbearers; Russell Wiles, Sarita Sheltry, Scott Trafton, Christian Palmer, Justin and Justine Auclair. A graveside service to follow at Rochester Cemetery Franklin St. Rochester, NH 03867. With a reception at Smokey's Tavern (Granite Steak and Grill) 12:30pm - 3:30pm; Rt. 11, in Rochester.
