Rita M. Perdue, age 97, formerly of Stoneham Road in Wakefield, NH, died May 14, 2014 at Mountain View Community in Ossipee, NH.
Born May 10, 1917 in Everett, MA, the daughter of J. Frank and Mary Norton, she had resided in Reading, MA for many years and lived in Wakefield, NH since 2002.
Rita retired at age 80, a Switchboard Operator from Addison-Wesley Longman of Reading, MA.
Widow of the late Floyd M. Perdue, she is survived by 3 children: Paul L. West, John F. West, and Marcia P. Wye, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter: Bonnie A. Niss and a brother: John Francis Norton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday May 21, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Anthony's Church, Meadow Street, Sanbornville, NH with Fr. Edmund A. Babicz, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be at Charles Lawn Memorial Park in Reading, MA at 1:45 pm. If desired, memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Meals on Wheels program in Wakefield, NH (603) 473-8324. Arrangements by Peaslee Funeral Home.
