Rita M. Luongo, age 76, formerly of Temple Drive at Tara Estates in Rochester, died June 20, 2012 at Wolfeboro Bay Care.
Born November 1, 1935 in Massachusetts, she resided in Farmington and Rochester, NH for many years.
A retired shoeworker in the local area, she was a former member of the Sons of Italy and the Ladies Guild at St. Peter's Church.
The widow of Vincent Luongo, who died in 1994, she is survived by a brother Joseph and wife Lucy Costabile of Wilmington, MA, also many nieces, nephews and her extended Luongo and DiPrizio family. She was predeceased by 3 sisters: Phyllis Mazzarini, Anna Costabile and Theresa Tylak, 3 brothers: Frankie, Albert and Sammie Costabile.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church, 88 Central Street, Farmington, NH with Fr. Daniel J. Sinibaldi, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Rochester. If desired, memorial donations may be made to St. Peter's Church or the Ladies Guild at St. Peter's Church.
