Richard Thomas (Tom) Walton age 88, of Gilmans Corner Road in Alton, NH, died at home on December 16, 2014.
Born October 27, 1926 in Lynn, Massachusetts, the son of Richard J. and Loretta L. (Anderson) Walton, he resided there for many years, moving to Alton, New Hampshire full time in 1988.
A well known Optician, Richard Thomas Walton, prior to retirement, he was employed with American Optical, Dr. Carroll Martus and Dr. Paul White in Lynn, MA.
Tom enjoyed helping people, often delivering their glasses to them, on his own time.
He enjoyed woodworking, especially making birdhouses, which he lovingly gave to his neighbors and others. Also he loved riding his John Deere lawn tractor at home in the country.
Survived by his wife of 62 years: Dorothy (Detscher) Walton, many nieces and nephews and his dear pug (Baxter). Predeceased by a sister Sally.
