Richard W. McKenney. 66 , loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Passed away on February 19, 2020 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after battling a long period of failing health with his beloved wife by his side.

Dick was born on September 26 1953, Portsmouth, VA. He was a military brat, he grew up in different states all over the country. Later in life he served his country in the United States Navy, Vietnam era.

He was employed at Hadco as a electrician and maintenance for years.

Dick was an avid outdoorsmen who loved nature. He enjoyed bird watching, reading, crossword puzzles, Motorcycle trips with "TTMC",  fishing with his brother, hunting, carving wooden pictures, fixing things, drawing pictures of many things from landscapes to people. He loved watching
The History Channel, Wheel of Fortune, and he never missed Jeopardy. He also enjoyed camping with family, volunteered at the 500 Boys and Girls Club as coach and umpire, coaching for Special Olympics for Farmington students, and volunteering with Natures Classroom with the  5th graders.

Dicks greatest joys were the love of his life Sharon, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and pets. His humor, witty comments, fun loving and caring personality, and his stubbornness will truly be missed.

In addition to his wife Sharon of 33 years, Dick is survived by his two children Chad Mckenney and his wife Erin of Oakland, Maine. Mandy Stetson and her partner Ryan Gilbert of Skowhegan, Maine and their mother Darleen McKenney of Madison, Maine.

Step Children: Mike Evans and wife Mindy of  Rye N.H, Matthew Evans of Rochester N.H.

His Grandchildren: Donovan, Drew, Ella, Kyle, Austin, Jaden, Madison, Jena, Cory, Scot, Josh, Alex, Alli.   Great Grandchildren: Benito, Aria, Wesley and another one on the way.

Extended family Kristy Lemay and her husband Robert of Sanford Maine.

His brothers Don McKenney and wife Sally of Elliot ME, his nephews, Kevin and Brian.  Matthew McKenney of Kittery, Maine and his former wife Kathy McKenney and their children Marc, Kevin, Mariah and her son Landon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Serena and William McKenney.

We would like to invite anyone who would like to join his celebration of life, held Saturday March 14, 2020 from 1-4. Farmington Recreation Center, 531 Main St, Farmington NH. Followed by Military services in the Spring.
