Richard E. "Dick" Hoage, 86, of Main street in Farmington, died at home, March 1, 2011.
He was born May 15, 1924 in Farmington, the son of James and Lucille (Hatch) Hoage. He was a resident of Farmington most of his life.
Army veteran having served in the European Theatre 1943-1946.
He retired from Simplex Wire & Cable where he worked as a pipe fitter for 33 years.
Richard was a 50 year member of Fraternal Lodge #71 F.&A.M. of Farmington. He enjoyed doing things for other people, volunteering his time for different organizations, and woodworking. He and his wife Louise built 3 homes. In his younger years he had been an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years: Louise V. (Houssaye) Hoage of Farmington, a daughter: Sharon L. and her husband Gerald Boisvert of Littleton, CO, 2 brothers: James Hoage of Farmington, Edward Hoage of Stacy Harbor, FL, 2 Sisters: Donna Chesley of Farmington and Betty Carpenter of Lebanon, ME, 2 grandchildren: Danielle R. Boisvert of Littleton, CO, Aaron J. Boisvert of Longmont, CO, Several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter Micheline A. Hoage February 2010.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday March 5, 2011 at 3:00pm at the Peaslee Funeral Home 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with calling hour prior to the service from 2:00pm to 3:00pm With the Rev.Debra Pratt-Peckham officiating.
