Richard Charles Henderson, 57, of Center Barnstead, NH and West Harwich, MA, passed away suddenly in NH on Thursday, November 30th, 2023.

Rick was the beloved husband of Pamela (Duffy) Henderson with whom he shared 35 loving years of marriage.  He was the proud father of Zachary Charles and Ethan Patrick and his wife Haley Mae, and Grandpa to his adoring granddaughter, Alivia Grace.

Rick was born and raised in Lynn, MA, the son of Richard and Marcia Henderson. He graduated salutatorian from Lynn Technical school in 1983 and then attended North Shore Community College.  Rick and Pamela met and fell in love in 1984 and were married in 1988.  They lived in the North Shore of MA until they moved to Alton Bay, NH in 1990 where they raised their children. Rick had such pride in his sons and daughter-in-law, who he called his own, and loved nothing more than gathering and spending time together.

Anyone who knew Rick knew he loved the lakes and lake life. He spent countless hours having fun times, boating, and floating with his lake family. He also loved the Cape Cod beaches where he would sit for hours and read.

He was a fabulous cook and he loved to entertain family and friends. He was known for his baby back ribs and macaroni and cheese like no other.

Rick was in the manufacturing sector for 30+ years.  Early in his career, he was a machinist and a CAD Designer, and quickly worked his way up to becoming a Chief Designer and Facilities Manager.  In 2021 he moved to Cape Cod where he became Vice President of Operational Excellence at SencorpWhite.  He was also extremely proud to be a recent graduate of the Community Leadership Institute of Cape Cod.

He cherished his golf weekends with his high school buddies and hosted them on the Cape for the past few years.

Rick's family and friends all knew he was all about the hug…no handshakes, a hug always. He was not shy to share his feelings for you and he wore his heart on his sleeve.

He is survived by his loving wife Pamela, his two sons Zachary and Ethan, his daughter Haley, and his granddaughter Alivia.

He is also survived by his mother, Marcia Henderson, of Alton NH and was predeceased by his father Richard G. Henderson who passed in 2019, mother-in-law Anna Duffy and her late husband Paul F. Duffy of Naples, FL and brother Glenn Henderson and wife Katie of Ipswich, MA.

In addition, his brothers-in-law, Paul F. Duffy Jr. and his partner Crystal Bona, Patrick Duffy and his wife Jennifer, and sister-in-law Penelope MacConnell and her husband Jason.

His nieces and nephews Charlie and Amanda Henderson, Caroline and Sara MacConnell and Paul F. Duffy III.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday December 7, 2023, 11am at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, 40 Hidden Springs Road in Alton, followed by urn interment at New Riverside Cemetery in Alton. All family and friends are invited back to the function hall at the church for a time of reception, following the burial.
