Retired MSG Monica "Sis" A. Riley United States Army age 77,of New Durham, died peacefully at her home August 2, 2017.

Born October 3, 1939 in Exeter, NH One of nine children of Earl S. and Rita M. (Cullen). She was raised on the old Riley Farm on Peavey Hill, a graduate of Farmington High School Class of 1957. A resident of New Durham for over 30 years coming from Farmington.

Monica retired with 22 years of military service in the Army, she served in France as a supply Sergeant. Stateside, Master Sergeant Riley was stationed at various posts throughout the US. She particularly enjoyed White Sands, New Mexico. Her last assignment was as a recruiter in the New England area then the eastern Seaboard. Upon retirement from the military, Monica worked many years as a technician for Cabletron.

A passion for farming and the outdoors, she also enjoyed her horses, hunting and fishing.

Riley (Sally) of Milton, Kevin A. Riley of Berwick, ME, Francis E. Riley of Vermont, many nieces and nephews, predeceased by her parents and 2 brothers: Earl P. Riley and Raymond F. Riley

Calling hour will be on Monday August 7, 2017 from 10:00am until 11:00am at the Peaslee Funeral Home 24 Central Street Farmington, NH, a graveside funeral with military honors will be held at 12:30pm at the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery Boscawen, NH. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in her memory to Cornerstone VNA 178 Farmington Rd Rochester, NH 03867.
