Raymond J. "Ray" Walker, Jr of Middleton, NH passed away at home on January 28, 2022 at the age of 56 from a long and courageous battle of cancer surrounded by his devoted wife and loving family.

Ray was born in Lewiston, Maine on August 15, 1965 to Raymond Walker, Sr and Joyce (Abbott) Walker. His family lived in South Paris, Maine where Ray was one of 6 children.

Ray met the love of his life, Melissa (Smith) Walker, in 2003 while working together and married in St Thomas in 2010. Ray and Melissa traveled for the last 8 years visiting 17 islands and captured many memories from snorkeling, zip lining to scuba diving; further capturing the beauty of their love.

Ray loved working around the house, deep sea fishing with coworkers, hunting, and traveling. He also enjoyed visiting Popham Beach in Maine each year and looking for sand dollars.  Ray had many stories he loved to share.  Some of his favorites included his Nannie and his experiences in his earlier years traveling while living in 6 different States. He also loved helping friends & family and carpentry work. Even with his diagnosis, he built a beautiful shed used for gardening that he named his Cancer Shed.

Ray spent the last 16 years working for RS Audley, Inc where he was a Crane Operator and helped build many bridges throughout the State of NH.

Ray is survived by his one and only true love, Melissa (Smith) Walker and their daughter, Amber Smith and significant other Hunter Roy of Lebanon, ME; Ray's daughter and son, Beth and Dustin Walker of Lewiston, ME; his mother, Joyce (Abbott) Walker of South Paris, ME; brothers Paul Walker and his wife Terry of Greenwood, ME, Russell Walker and his wife Maria of South Paris, ME; sisters Debra Campbell and husband Jeffrey of West Paris, ME, Paula Cole and her significant other Tom Pastor of West Paris, ME; his mother and father in law, Milton Smith, Jr of Middleton, NH, Maureen Smith of Fremont, NH; sister in law Melanie Chaplin and her fiancée, Matthew Joyal of Fremont, NH; grandsons Gideon and Liam, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his Nannie Elvia Abbott, his father Raymond Walker Sr. and his sister Pauline Morgan.
