Prisco attended both Farmington and Rochester schools, graduating from Spaulding High School in 1942.
Survived by his three daughters, Ethel Davenport & husband Donald of Lee, Lois Collins & partner Walter Marchisio of Milton, Priscilla Ogata & husband Garri of Roanoke, Va., five grandchildren: Christine, James, Theresa, Jacinthe, & Joshua, eight great-grandchildren, brother, Charles "Sonny" Di Prizio of Middleton, also many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
His wife of 75 years, Lois Canney Di Prizio died March 18, 2022 at the age of 95.
Predeceased by brothers: Constantino "Gus" Di Prizio, John Di Prizio, Alvino Di Prizio, Anthony Di Prizio, sisters: Mary Evelyn Luongo & Eleanor LaCarrubba.
Prisco's father and siblings established Charles Di Prizio Lumber and Garage business, but his compass lead him on a different road.
In 1946, he married Lois Canney, a poultry farmer's daughter of Hensnest Farms, which was one of the largest poultry farms in New England, located on Meaderboro Road in Farmington. It is where he and Lois started their family. It was a family operated farm until the economics of poultry farming in New England became unsustainable. As 1960 approached, Prisco moved his family from the country life to the small town of Farmington where they lived for forty years.
During this time he became owner of Smalley Di Prizio and Lyons Monuments in Rochester, successfully learning a new trade and business. He was a Past President of the New England Monuments Association.
Prisco was a past member of: Kiwanis Club, Sons of Italy, Historical Societies of Farmington and Rochester, Elks, and a 60 Year Jubilee Member of the United Church of Christ in Farmington.
Before moving to Watson Fields, Prisco and Lois lived in Rochester.
Both Prisco and Lois travelled extensively visiting many countries. Prisco was an avid gardener, having as many as 3 vegetable gardens planted in different locations, the bounty of which he generously shared with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, maple sugaring with his brother John in Middleton where they produced Grade A maple syrup. He was the master grill chef for numerous parties and family gatherings at their summer residence on Ossipee Lake.
Never one to sit idly, he tended his gardens, snowblowed his driveway and most of his neighbors if needed, mowed his lawns, helped his children and grandchildren whenever or wherever needed, and loved attending their sporting events and birthday parties. Daily walks were a must do activity until he was 90, especially with his daughter's dogs. He was beyond generous with his time to help others which gave him much joy. Sunday family dinners with his fresh garden salads served with his special "vinegar and oil" dressing will always be a special memory of Prisco.
For the past 7 years Prisco and Lois resided at Watson Fields in Dover.
Our family is grateful for the loving and compassionate care received at the facility.
