Phillip Anthony Jennings, age 79, of Emerald Drive in Barrington, died March 6, 2019 at Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, surrounded by loved ones.
Born June 19, 1939 in Terre Haute, Indiana, son of Ralph and Elsie (Benjamin) Jennings, he resided in many states over the years, serving with the United States Marine Corps for 23 years, a Gunnery Sergeant. Most recently he resided in Rochester and Dover, NH.
Retired from the USMC, he had worked in plumbing with Satellite Services on Pease Air Force Base.
Phil loved bowling, an expert bowler, he served on leagues with the USMC and at Dover Bowl. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed table tennis and was a weapons specialist, as Gunnery Sergeant with the USMC.
Widower of the late Marjorie Jane (Foss) Jennings, he is survived by their 5 children: Brenda Jennings, Scott Jennings, Brian Jennings, Steven Jennings and Marcus Jennings, grandchildren: Taylor, Jesse, Aimee, Cree-Ann, Joshua, Jessica, Rikki and Whitney, also many great grandchildren, 3 brothers: Mike Cooper, John Cooper and David Cooper, also many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Don Jennings.
Calling hours are Sunday, March 10, from 2-4pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH with a service at 3:30pm. Interment with military honors will be in the spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Eliot, Maine. If desired, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
