FARMINGTON – Peter John Scruton, 44, died September 17, 2018, following a period of failing health. He loved the Lord and was a devoted husband, loving father, treasured son, and loyal brother and friend. Pete was a man of unshakeable Christian faith. His love for Christ was evident in all that he did. Through Christ, he was more than a conqueror.

After graduating from UNH, Pete worked as an information technologist there for over 20 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and activities such as fishing, boating, archery, snowmobiling, and bicycling. He was a talented musician who played the bass guitar and piano. One of his greatest joys was singing with his daughters. He walked uprightly, following Christ's example in every aspect of his life and serving the Lord with his whole heart.

Pete is survived by his wife Rachel; daughters Abigail and Anna; parents John and Sandra Scruton; sister Becky Wiggin; brother Matthew Scruton; loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service in memory of Pete will be held Friday, September 21, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at True Memorial Baptist Church, 21 Ten Rod Road, Rochester, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to True Memorial Baptist Church.
