Obituary

Perley LaCoss Sr, 89, passed away on November 14, 2022 at his home after a period of failing health.

Perley was born on January 21, 1933 in Orleans, Vermont to Lawrence and Mildred (Metcalf) LaCoss. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Shirley (Emerson), son Perley LaCoss Jr and his wife Dina of Smethport, PA and his daughter Penney Mabey and her husband James of Farmington, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by his two brothers, Preston and Donald LaCoss and three sisters Marjorie Farrar, Dorothy Davis and Arlene Hamel.

Perley was a Veteran and served with the US Army in the Korean War 1953-1955.

In his earlier years he was a policeman in the town of Farmington for 15 years.  His career was spent at Eastern Propane & Oil where he was a dedicated delivery driver and courier for 43 years, until his retirement in 2012.

He was an avid Red Sox Fan and would watch all the games, regardless how late they went into the night.  He loved going to the casinos and playing the machines.  He was a member of the Rochester Elks and spent many hours playing cards with the guys.

We are grateful for the at home care provided by Cornerstone Nursing.

Per his request, there will be no services and burial will be private at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington, NH. To express condolences, please visit: www.peasleefuneralhome.com
