Farmington, NH

Percy Cleveland Day, age 74, of Farmington, died May 8, 2023, in his home, after battling health challenges over the last several years.

Percy, a New Hampshire native, was born in Conway, NH, son of Alice (Anthony) & Perley Day, Sr.

He proudly served in the United States Army and bravely fought in the Vietnam War.

In 1971, he married the love of his life, Joyce (Morton) and together they built a family in Farmington. His employment included working for the Town of Farmington Highway Department, serving some time as Road Agent. He retired as a truck driver at Pike Industries. Percy also served as a volunteer member of the Farmington Fire Department.

Percy enjoyed many adventures and happy times with his family and friends including camping, motorcycle riding, snowmobiling, four wheeling, hunting, fishing, rides to the beach, especially York, and trying new restaurants. He took great pleasure in his role as great grandfather!

In addition to his wife of nearly 52 years Joyce Day, he is survived by his daughter Stacy Henderson of Lebanon, Maine, his son Travis & wife Janice Day of Concord, NH, his grandsons: Scott Staples, Frank Staples & Nicholas Allen; great granddaughters Sophia & Feyre Staples; sister Bonnie Day and Arleen, brother Perley Day, Jr. & wife Kathy, also many nieces & nephews and his sassy feline "Jasmine". Percy was predeceased by his parents and sister Kathy Westleigh.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 1-3pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH with a service at 2:30pm, by Rev. John Hastings.
