Paula Fay Lucas, 72, of East Wakefield, NH, passed away March 12, 2024 at the Wolfeboro Bay Center nursing home in Wolfeboro, NH.

Paula was born in Lancaster, NH, November 6, 1951 to Paul and Marie (Hannaford) Kenison and grew up in Ogunquit, Maine. She graduated from Wells High School in 1970 and from the Central Maine General (CMG) Hospital School of Nursing in 1972. Paula worked primarily in geriatrics and served as the director of nurses at several elderly boarding and retirement homes in Virginia and Maine. She retired early to become a full-time mother, a role she loved and cherished as the most important accomplishment of her life. Growing up on the coast, Paula always loved the ocean and trips to the beach were special times for her. She was the rock of her family, courageous, optimistic, forthright, supportive, and hardworking. She possessed a loving heart and was always thinking of ways to help or bless others. She was a woman of strong principles, a loyal friend and possessed a tremendous life-long faith in God. She was the calm in turbulent waters. "Well done, good and faithful servant".

Paula married the love of her life, Scott Lucas, at the All Saints Catholic Church in Ogunquit, Maine, on September 29, 1973. They shared the adventures of a full life together for over 50 years. They retired to East Wakefield, NH, in 2019 following 30 years spent in Bow raising their family. She is survived by her eternal soul-mate and best friend, Scott; her children Andrea Marie Goulette and Zachary Scott Lucas; her sisters Catherine (Michael) Emmons and Lisa (Charles) Monroe; and her nieces Jennifer Emmons and Sarah Monroe.

A Celebration of Life service is being planned for early summer in Wells, Maine.
