Long-time resident of Alton, Paul Richard Newlin, passed away on Monday, June 17th, 2024 at the age of 84 following a brief battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).  Paul was born on December 19th, 1939 in Phoenix, Arizona to Dennis and Opal (Helton) Newlin. A graduate of Phoenix Union High School, he served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961. Following his service, he worked in the restaurant service industry. Moving to New Hampshire in 1973, he began working in the commercial refrigeration industry and soon after started his own business in the same field. Paul was in business for 45 years and worked right up to the time of diagnosis. He enjoyed hiking, woodworking, card games, problem solving, and spending time with family. Paul was predeceased by his brother, Charles. He is survived by his wife, Crystal (Chase) Newlin; daughter, Dawn Plukas and her husband Michael, and grandchildren Hannah and Emma Plukas of Saint Joseph, MI; daughter, Kerrie Milani and her husband Dino, and grandchildren Jonathan and Andrew Milani of Shrewsbury, MA; son Marc Newlin of Campton, NH; son Jeff Newlin of Colorado; sisters, Naomi Greco and Linda Hollenbeck of Arizona and Wanda Browder of South Carolina.

A private grave-side burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery, Alton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul's name to the Dartmouth Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756.
