IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Ann
Danisinka-Washburn
November 12, 1943 – September 19, 2020
Dover, NH
Patricia Ann Danisinka-Washburn, age 76 of Dover, NH died September 19, 2020 at the Rochester Manor.
Born in Gardner, MA on November 12, 1943, the daughter of Joseph D. and Evelyn (Huse) Danisinka. Formerly of Main Street in Skowhegan, ME, 12 years in Dover, NH and the last 3 years at the Rochester Manor.
Upon graduation of University of Tennessee post-graduate Law School Patricia landed in Rockland, Maine working for Pine Tree Legal Assistance and started their Flagship Maine Practice in Rockland, Maine with former governor of the State of Maine and present United States Senator Angus King. She practiced many years in Rockland alongside Angus King and then made her way to Skowhegan where she opened her own practice. Upon opening her own practice; Patricia Ann Danisinka-Washburn, Esquire, Attorney at Law, she dove in to the local and statewide nonprofit groups. She sat on the board of directors of Business and Professional Women (BPW), after 15 years of being President, Vice President, and Treasurer. She joined the Kennebec Valley Community Action Program (KVCAP) where she sat on the board of directors as Director Assistant, Director and Director of Community Affairs for a good twenty years until pretty much retirement of her law practice. On top of some of these mile stone achievements, Patricia, along with her son Joseph, had the honor of going to Governor's Inauguration Ball's in her lifetime meeting one President too many, United States Senators to list. She was a very adamant Democrat and very active in politics. During her 20-plus years at Kennebec Valley Community Action Program, she created and implemented the "no kid go hungry program school supplies and backpacks for kids." She created food pantries at multiple locations throughout Somerset and Kennebec County. Her law practice to KVCAP, she was a huge advocate for the little guy, for the person done wrong, for women's rights. Patricia marched on Washington, DC with the Black Panthers in the seventies and Geena Davis, I would never get tired of hearing that story. She had an amazing life and anybody that knew her, knew she was fierce, she was a bull dog in the courtroom and out of the courtroom. Pat has been right her whole life, if you don't believe that, all you had to do was ask her, but that's what made her such a fantastic advocate for Working Class People, the underprivileged, or just somebody that was down and out. She would give the shirt off her back. I know that her loss will leave a void in many lives.
A former member of Skowhegan Methodist Church and while in Dover, a member of Dover Baptist Church.
Survived by her son; Joseph N. Danisinka-Washburn and wife Angela K. Danisinka-Washburn, 4 grandchildren; Dakota Danisinka-Washburn, Ethan Towle, Bryce Danisinka-Washburn, and Ariah Danisinka-Washburn, dear friends; Roger Thibedau, Waneta and husband Bob Washburn, Carol and husband John Bishop.
