Norma A. Gray, age 92, of Laurel Terrace, McKinley Street, Rochester, died April 5, 2011 at the Rochester Manor.

Born August 20, 1918 in Rochester, daughter of Walter and Edna (Olsen) Young, she resided in Farmington for most of her life and resided in Rochester since 2003. She grew up a member of the First Congregational Church in Farmington, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was a former 4-H leader in Farmington.

In earlier years, she worked in her father's local businesses in Farmington and she assisted her father, having owned and operated the former Oak Birch Inn in Alton Bay. She was a former shoe factory worker and also took care of children. She was employed with the Farmington School District as a Bookkeeper for over twenty years.

Norma is survived by her husband of 65 years: Leston E.Gray of Rochester and their daughter Jean (Gray) and husband Michael Labrecque of New Durham, a brother Walter Young of Alton, 3 grandchildren: Christina Laudenbach Beaulier, Rebecca Gray and Steven Laudenbach, 8 great grandchildren, 2 nieces and a nephew Walter C. "Rusty" Young of Alton. She was predeceased by her son Leston "Beaver" Gray.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 11:00 am at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with a calling hour prior to the service from 10-11 am. Interment will be later in the spring at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington.
