Norma E. Corson, age 78, of Miller Road in New Durham, died August 9, 2011 at the Rochester Manor.
Born October 25, 1932 in Farmington, the daughter of Jesse and Evelyn (Curtis) Woodman, she was raised there and has resided in New Durham for 59 years.
In earlier years, she was a fancy stitcher at local shoe factories, including the former Alton Shoe in Farmington.
Norma was a good seamstress, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and trips to Atlantic City and Foxwoods.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Harris C. Corson and their 2 sons: Richard and wife June Corson of New Durham, Jim and wife Sandy Corson of Rochester, 3 grandchildren: Amanda Corson, Heather Barber and Chris Curran, a sister: Mary Ellen Brown and a brother: Franklin Woodman, both of Farmington, also several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours, family and friends are welcome to a Graveside Service on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 11:00 am at Pine Grove Cemetery in Farmington.
