Obituary

ROCHESTER — Natalie Ethel Prime Mailhot passed away peacefully Sunday evening, April 17, 2011, at the home of her son, Fred, surrounded by her five children, four daughters and one son.

Natalie was born in Rochester, N.H., July 8, 1932, to the late Kenneth and Vera Prime. She was known for living life to the fullest. Natalie was deaf since the age of 10 years old from a playground accident, and didn't get her first driver's license until the age of 54.

She had a lifelong love of riding horses and rooting for her beloved Red Sox. She had specially trained dogs over the years that she loved dearly. She is best known for her colorful outfits and hats and always knew how to have a good time.

Natalie is survived by daughter, Brenda Durbin of Roswell, Ga.; son, Fred Mailhot of Rochester; daughter, Tammy Day of South Berwick, Maine, and twin daughters, Melinda Frechette of Rochester, and Maria Naplin of Fort Madison, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Crystal, Tiffany, Keith, John, Alesia, Stephanie, Bryanna and Trisha, and one great-grandchild, Isabelle, who were a big part of her life.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 20, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Peaslee Funeral Home in Farmington. Burial will be held on Thursday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Alton.
