Effingham, NH

Nancy Lee (Morrison) Williams was born in Everett, MA on December 21, 1938. She passed away peacefully on March 6, 2016, in her home in Effingham, NH after a lengthy battle with COPD and a more recent battle with lung cancer.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Barney J. Williams, her mother, Alice L. LaBonte, and her father, Leo F. LaBonte.

She will be sadly missed by her brothers; Robert Morrison of Pittsfield, NH and Gene LaBonte of Rochester, NH, her four daughters; Sheri O'Dea and her husband Jack of Haverhill, MA, Cathie Curtis and Wayne Valley of Ossipee, NH, Lynn Boillot and Clarence Davis of Wolfeboro, NH, and Jessica Hodgdon and her husband Josh of Ossipee, NH, her three sons; Tim Curtis and Vet Sam of Lowell, MA, David Bennett and his wife Kris of Farmington, NH, and Joe Williams of Effingham, NH and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

After graduating from Spaulding High School in Rochester, NH, she worked in the shoe manufacturing industry before leaving the workforce to raise a family.

Through the years, Nancy and her husband always looked forward to their annual trip to Woodwards Resort in Lincoln, NH to celebrate their anniversary. Often times, they would include their grandchildren on their holiday adventure to meet Santa Claus on the train and pick out a Christmas tree! Her grandchildren were her everything; from babysitting to trips to the lake, from playing Scrabble to slumber parties; no matter how far, they were all very near and dear to her heart.

Services will be held at Peaslee Funeral Home, 2079 Wakefield Road in Sanbornville, NH, Thursday evening, March 10, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Interment will be in the spring at Lovell Lake Cemetery. A special thank you to Norma Jean from Hospice, who quickly "got" our family in all its crazy emotional roller coaster, which for her, was all in a days work, but, for us, it was a blessing. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the area Hospice Foundation.
