NEW DURHAM – Monique Marie Couture Krawczyk passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at her home.
Born Oct. 24, 1951, in Springfield, VT, she was the daughter of Florence and Lucien Couture. She was a graduate of Dover High School, class of 1969.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ronald Krawczyk; two sons Thomas Aaron Krawczyk of Farmington and Patrick Joseph Krawczyk of New Durham; and one daughter, Jennifer Anne Haskell and her husband Brian of Chelmsford, MA. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs; Blossom, Sadie and Maggie.
Monique loved gardening and playing guitar, but often said her greatest achievement in life was raising her children. She never missed a game, an awards ceremony or an event for her kids. In addition to her own three children, she was "Momma Krawczyk" to many others. She was always happy to welcome people into her home and feed them a good meal and provide a fun, comfortable environment.
A week and a half ago she witnessed her daughter's marriage and she looked gorgeous in a champagne dress as she was led down the aisle to bagpipes with each of her sons on her side. Her blue crystal eyes sparkled in the sunlight and her smile was radiant. She was beautiful and she was proud of her family and this special moment.
She was an unforgettable woman and will be missed, but we know she will guide and protect us as our guardian angel until we meet again in the next life. "These things we warmly wish for you: someone to love, some work to do, a bit o' sun, a bit o' cheer, and a guardian angel always near." We love you mom.
She was a 7-year breast cancer survivor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation, http://ww5.komen.org/.
