Milford L. Galarneau, Jr., "Mickey", age 69, died November 10, 2011, at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester.



Born October 1, 1942, in Rochester, NH, the son of Milford L. Galarneau, Sr. and Madeline (MacIlvaine) Galarneau, he was a lifelong resident of Milton.



He was retired from Thompson Center Arms, a tool and die maker.



Mickey was self employed working with horses, training, showing and trail riding. He was a member of "SMART" Southern Maine Assn. for Riding Trails, Mousam Saddle and Harness Club, NH Horse and Trail Club and New England Horse and Trail Club. He was the recipient of many trophies and awards from horse competitions. Together with his wife, they enjoyed horseback camping throughout New England. He also enjoyed guns and hunting.



Survived by his wife Sandra Jean (Marble) Galarneau and his mother Madeline Galarneau, both of Milton, his 2 children: Carol and husband Jessie Huffstutler, Scott and wife Karen Galarneau, all of Alabama, 4 grandchildren: Heather, Lauren, Esther and Luke, 2 brothers: Peter and wife Michelle Galarneau of Hawaii, Mark and wife Stephanie Galarneau of Milton, also several nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by a daughter Cindy Fletcher.



A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 5:00 pm at Peaslee Funeral Home, 24 Central Street, Farmington, NH, with a calling hour prior to the service from 4-5 pm.
